We will be distributing free “Atrium in a Bag” to all families to support the ongoing formation and nurture of the spiritual lives of our children of from toddler through age 12, including specially selected materials for each age group and a mini storage bin that can easily stow under a bed or desk.
The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd at its heart offers children a way of being and exploring what it means to be in relationship with God. For the child, the work of their hands, their response in prayer, song and thanksgiving are ways of living this reality. The CGS approach is to de-school catechesis and to offer our faith to children at each age in a holistic and developmentally appropriate way.
Our gift to you includes activities for your child to engage in offline as well as suggestions for hands on activities at home. In our Sunday morning ZOOM sessions we offer community and a place for the child to be with peers, to offer prayer and support, to hear the great proclamations of our faith, the greatest of these to know they are loved. Ours is an active catechesis of hope.
Contact any Potomac Episcopal Community Clergy or Davette Himes (email@example.com) to receive your bag!
