CGS Team

Volunteering with our Children's Ministry

They say it takes a village to raise a child, and the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS), our children's ministry at All Saints Sharon Chapel, is possible only with the full support of the parish. Find out the numerous ways to support CGS. Training is available. On the last Sunday of the month, we schedule Atrium look-ins (in-person and virtual) for anyone seeking to learn more.

Please contact Davette at cgs@sharonchapel.org for the link and more information.

Ways to get involved.

CGS Atrium Guide

The role of the CGS Atrium Guide is not to “fill” the child with information, but to prepare an environment that responds to the needs of the child and to share elements that help “call forth” a response from the child. Together the guide and child listen, ask, and wonder together.

CGS Atrium Assistant

The role of the CGS Atrium Assistant, through indirect service such as as observation & recordkeeping, is to prepare an environment that responds to the needs of the child and to share elements that help “call forth” a response from the child.

CGS Supporter

The role of the CGS supporter, through indirect service such as crafts and food prep, is to prepare an environment that responds to the needs of the child and to share elements that help "call forth" a response from the child. There is currently a midweek lunch bunch from 11:30 to 1:30 pm for anyone who would like to help make and prepare materials for CGS.
